Getting started with Logia
Set up your first live translated service: create an event, choose listener languages, share join details, and start the session from the church dashboard.
Key terms
Dashboard
The admin web interface where your church manages Logia.
Source language
The language being spoken at your service.
Session
One live streaming instance of an event, such as this week's Sunday Service.
Before you start
Start with your default event
When your church account is created, Logia automatically sets up a default Sunday Service event, so you can start running translated services right away. Your available time appears in the Translation Hours card at the top of the dashboard.
Free-trial churches use this default event throughout the trial. Creating additional events requires an active subscription, so if the New Event button is unavailable, subscribe to unlock it.
Quick reminder
Listeners never need an app or account. They join from any browser using a QR code, direct link, or numeric event code.
Step 1
Create an event
An event is a reusable gathering, such as Sunday Service. A session is the live instance you run from that event each week. Every church starts with a default Sunday Service event. Subscribed churches can also create additional events using the steps below.
- 1On the Dashboard, click New Event in the top-right area near your church name.
- 2In the Create New Event dialog, enter an event name, such as Sunday Service.
- 3Click Create Event.
Your event appears as a card in the events grid. Each card shows its status, either Waiting when idle or Live when a session is running, plus the event code listeners can use.
Step 2
Open the event and check your audio
Click an event card to open it. The event opens on the Stream tab, where you set up and control the live session.
- 1Under Source Language, select the language being spoken at your service.
- 2Under Audio Input Source, select the microphone Logia should listen to.
- 3If you just plugged in a device and do not see it, click the refresh button beside the dropdown.
- 4While someone speaks, watch the Audio Level card. The meter should move when Logia hears the correct microphone.
Browser microphone access
The first time you open the Stream tab, your browser asks permission to use the microphone. Click Allow. If access is blocked, re-enable microphone permission and refresh the page.
Step 3
Choose which languages listeners can use
By default, listeners can pick from every supported language. To narrow the list to the languages your congregation uses, open the event's Settings tab and use Language Settings.
Allow All
Every language is available by default. Use the Block specific languages picker to remove individual languages, or leave it empty to allow all.
Allow Specific
No languages are available by default. Use the Select allowed languages picker to turn on only the languages you want.
- 1Go to the Settings tab.
- 2Under Language Settings, select Allow All or Allow Specific.
- 3Search for and select languages in the picker below the mode buttons.
- 4Click Save.
Step 5
Go live, then end the session
When your service is about to begin, start the event from the Stream tab. Once the event is live, Logia is ready to start translating.
- 1Confirm the source language.
- 2Confirm the audio input source.
- 3Click Start Event when the service is about to begin.
- 4Use Pause Session and Resume Session for temporary breaks.
- 5Click End Event when the service is over.
Live Analytics
While live, the analytics panel shows how many listeners are connected and which languages they are using, updating in real time.
You're all set
Your first translated service is ready.
Once you have created an event, selected languages, shared join details, and run a live session, future services follow the same flow. Create or open the event, check audio, share the join details, and go live.
